Nicola Scapillati
Head of Global Markets
Nicola Scapillati, born in 1973 at Castropignano in the province of Campobasso, lives in Milan, where he graduated with honours in political economy from Bocconi University in 1997. His thesis addressed estimation risk in the management of equity portfolios, proof of a keen interest in quantitative and risk management issues even as a student.
Nicola has since built up over 25 years of experience in the financial sector and a solid track record in corporate & investment banking, global market management and trading, treasury and asset-liability management.
He began his career at Banca Akros S.p.A in 1998, gaining multi-year experience in a series of roles of increasing responsibility including Head of Trading, and Head of Finance with the role of Managing Director, before becoming Head of Corporate & Investment Products in 2025.
He is currently Managing Director and Head of Global Markets at Intermonte SIM S.p.A., where he leads strategic activities on global financial markets, contributing to the development of customised solutions for institutional and corporate clients.
